Here are instructions for constructing the xyz logo. From this basic form you may embelish with color schemes, depth, and dimension.

For placement, the (x,y) coordinates (0,0) refer to the upper left corner.

  1. Begin with a 3 by 11/4 field of negative space.

  2. Create a 3 by 11/8 oval of positive space, from (0,0) to (3,11/8).

  3. Create a 21/2 by 11/4 oval of negative space, from (1/4,0) to (23/4,11/4).

  4. Create a 2 by 1 oval of positive space, from (1/2,0) to (21/2,1).

  5. Place Times New Roman font, lower-case letters "xyz", of negative space within the last oval created. The "xyz" should be as large as possible and remain contained within the last oval created.

  6. When using the logo, remember that the negative space is actually the background of where ever the logo is placed (the negative space is transparent).

Also, the margin of 1/4 left under the logo during construction should remain when used. In this way the bottom of the logo will stay properly spaced from any other element beneath it.

Here are some of variations.
