part of xyz, the southern peninsula's cheapest, fastest, and most supportive
Internet Service Provider! You have taken your first step to online empowerment
and fun! This sheet will provide the information you need to begin accessing the
Internet through xyz. Please feel free to give me a call at,

Will my computer work?
Here are your minimum system requirements. Our service has been accessed
with modems as slow as 2400 baud, but it is quit difficult to use, and graphical
browsing is completely impractical. If you are looking to upgrade, keep in mind
that your online performance depends first on modem speed, second, amount of
RAM, and then CPU type.

What about software?
There are two ways to go. By far the easiest is to by a Internet package, that
includes all you need to start enjoying the Internet. Popular packages include,
Netscape Navigator, and the Apple Internet Connection Kit. Windows 95 has
many Internet access features built in, and the PLUS! Pack includes a web
browser and email software.
If you would rather find the software components on your own, you will need ppp
communications software and various client applications such as a web browser,
news reader, and e-mail reader. MacTCP and ConfigPPP for the Mac, and Trumpet
Winsock for Windows for example, will take care of the communications. Examples
of client applications include Netscape and Windows Explorer for web browsers,
and Eudora for an e-mail reader.
How do dial in?
You will need the following information to configure your software for use with
xyz. You will also need to decide upon a username and password. Your Username is
how you will be know on the internet (e.g. your e-mail address will be
<username>@xyz.net). Call 235-0675 to set up your account, or at any time
take advantage of our unbeatable technical support.

How much?
The cheapest in the land. Unmetered Internet access at up to 56 kpbs, an
e-mail box, access to thousands of newsgroups, and 5 MB of space on our server.
You may pay for any number of months at a time, at $20 a month (Plus tax
of course. %5.5 for Homer, %5.0 for Seldovia, and %2.0 for other areas), no
setup fee, and your first month is free.
Payment is due on the 20th of the month. You will receive a reminder via e-mail
on the 1st of the month.
