Homer, Alaska -- After many years of operating xyz in Homer, Dave Allen Barker Jr has decided to pursue new opportunities. In light of this decision Dave has entered into an agreement with Internet Alaska to continue providing the highest quality Internet access and network services to xyz customers.
It's important to note that xyz will remain a predominantly local company - though Internet Alaska will handle technical support and billing services, local customer service will be offered by Eagle Eye Photo in Homer.
Further, there will be no loss of the functionality, value or features of current xyz Internet accounts. On the contrary, existing xyz customers will have the opportunity, over the coming months, to take advantage of valuable, enhanced services. These include:
Xyz was founded by Dave Allen Barker Jr, a class of '93 Homer High School graduate. Open for business December 6, 1995, xyz was the first Internet Service Provider (ISP) to serve the South Kenai Peninsula. Lance Ahern and Matt Mannhardt founded Internet Alaska, Inc. (IAI) in 1994. The company was the first commercial Internet Service Provider (ISP) in the State. Today Internet Alaska provides over 32,000 people all over Alaska with speedy, reliable dial-up and dedicated Internet access. Their business services department has evolved over the years into an all-in-one solution including cabling and installation services, web-hosting and e-commerce, and office connectivity.
As a small local business, Eagle Eye Photo is firmly committed to the Homer community. Founded in 1984, they have made a name for themselves by providing superior service and products.
