Poem for Cindy, Mother's Day 2002
To my mom on this Mother's Day day,
I offer her this poem.
If anyone wonders how much I love her,
By golly this webpage will show 'em!
It's inspired by that special way
She tends to write a verse.
Just a simple rhyme, in simple time,
But hey, it could be worse!
Like to have a Mom who doesn't share,
And take the time to say,
"I love you, and don't forget
To call me next Sunday!"
Sometimes I wonder if it's fair,
If I've done my part.
She shows me love in every way,
Does she know she's in my heart?
Yeah, she can be goofy at times,
But has her priorities straight,
Straight on me and my brothers in fact.
Boy, we think that's great!
Then comes along this holiday,
Reminding me what to do.
Just let her know what's in your heart.
"Hey Mom, I love you!"
Happy Mother's Day Mom!
Love,
Dave
